Highway 40 Widening

GHD, on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation (MTO), has initiated the Preliminary Design and Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study for the widening of Highway 40 from Indian Road to 0.6 km north of Wellington Street, located in the City of Sarnia within the County of Lambton. In 2004, the MTO completed a Preliminary Design Study for the Study Area. As a result, the previous findings and recommended improvements will be considered as part of the current Study.

  • Hold an Online Public Information Centre.

  • Assess impacts and develop mitigation strategy

  • Prepare a Transportation Environmental Study Report (TESR) and submit TESR for 30-day Comment Period

  • Prepare a Preliminary Design Report
